This Privacy Policy explains how Dawerlee Shop ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you visit dawerleeshop.com or place an order with us. We operate from the State of Kuwait and comply with Kuwait Law No. 20 of 2014 on Electronic Transactions and applicable Kuwait consumer protection regulations.
Who we are
Dawerlee Shop is a consumer e-commerce brand under the Dawerlee family, alongside dawerlee.com and Dawerlee Garage. You can reach our data team at info@dawerleeshop.com.
What we collect
- Identity & contact data: name, email, phone, delivery address, civil ID only if required for high-value delivery verification.
- Order & payment data: items ordered, order totals, payment method, transaction ID. We never see or store your full card number — payment is handled by Shopify Payments, KNET, Tap, and Apple Pay, who are PCI-compliant.
- Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and interaction events, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
- Support data: anything you share when you contact us by email, WhatsApp, Instagram DM, or the on-site chat.
Why we collect it
- To fulfil your order, arrange delivery, process returns, and provide customer support.
- To detect and prevent fraud and secure our platform.
- To improve our storefront, personalise your experience, and measure marketing performance.
- With your consent, to send you promotional emails or SMS about new arrivals and offers. You can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum data required with trusted service providers who help us run the business:
- Shopify Inc. — our e-commerce platform and hosting provider.
- Payment processors — Shopify Payments, KNET, Tap Payments, Apple Pay.
- Shipping partners — local Kuwait courier companies, only with the address data needed to deliver your order.
- Analytics & marketing tools — Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, only when you have consented to cookies.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may disclose information if required by Kuwait law, court order, or to defend our legal rights.
International transfers
Some of our providers store data on servers outside Kuwait (primarily the EU, US, and Canada). Where this happens, we rely on Shopify's and our providers' standard contractual clauses and security certifications to protect your information.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the checkout and cart, and optional cookies for analytics and marketing. A cookie banner lets you accept or reject the optional ones on your first visit. You can change your choice any time via your browser settings.
How long we keep your data
We keep order and invoice records for 5 years to meet Kuwait tax and accounting requirements. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Support conversations are kept for 24 months.
Your rights
You can at any time:

- Correct or update inaccurate data.
- Ask us to delete your account and its data (subject to legal retention).
- Unsubscribe from marketing with one click or by replying STOP.

Security
Our storefront runs on Shopify's PCI DSS Level 1 infrastructure. All data is transmitted over TLS 1.2+ and passwords are hashed. We still recommend you use a strong, unique password and keep your account credentials private.
Children
Our storefront is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, email info@dawerleeshop.com and we will delete it.
Updates
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
